Joanne's Background
Jo has had a varied career working for public, private and third sector organisations. She has been a consultant, trainer and account director (among other roles) working for the likes of L’Oreal, Rentokil Initial, the National Trust, BP, TK Maxx, White Stuff, the Singapore government – and many more. Taking everything she knows and taking the relevant and best bits into the world of SMEs!
What has been a constant during her career, has been the commercial and business acumen to get all aspects of these businesses working together. Her initial remit may have been focused on to a specific brief but that never lasted long! She quickly helped those businesses see how multiple facets needed to come together for real growth.
She has a genuine passion and commitment to working with female founders (and parents in general) to achieve their big professional ambitions while giving them a balance between work and family.
She has true empathy for women in business, having experienced many of the challenges personally. She wants to see other women achieve, not so they can be the best female-led businesses around, but for them to be the best businesses around!
Having worked on numerous regeneration projects, such as in Margate, and charitable organisations, she thrives off of seeing not only the personal outcomes for her clients but the wider benefits for their communities too.
