The Chaseley Trust
The Chaseley Trust is a unique charity based in Eastbourne, supporting adults with complex neurological disabilities with respite care, residential facilities through to therapy, and day care.
The new CEO, Emma Rich-Spice, identified she needed support with engaging and aligning the senior management team with the newly re-invigorated charter (vision and purpose) of the charity.
As with any leadership change, there is a desire to improve and progress how things have previously worked and bring the team together around a new vision and purpose.
There was a desire to remove historical barriers to performance and build stronger relationships among the team.
Emma, therefore, wanted support for and to invest in the senior management team so that they had the skills, tactics, approaches, new ideas and knowledge to work better together.
We were brought in to provide this business coach-led leadership training.
Through a programme of three leadership development training courses, a wide range of topics were covered to enable the senior management team to firstly, understand their own working styles, skills and approaches, and secondly to become aware of the differences between themselves and their senior colleagues in these areas.
Using this newfound knowledge they were then taught and shown tactics, techniques and approaches for how to work together, how to handle challenges and ways in which they could move forward.
Business coach leadership training brought the benefit of a new perspective to the charity’s leadership team, as well as relevant business insight for cross-sector learning.
Some of the specific subjects covered were:
The response from the senior management team to the business coach leadership training has been overwhelmingly positive, with a further set of three leadership development training courses now underway to continue them on this journey together.
The feedback has been that they better understand themselves and how they can contribute more to fulfilling the charity’s longer-term vision and aims.
“I was immediately blown away by Tim’s character and I learnt quite a lot about myself during that initial presentation.
He kind of draws you in to a way of thinking about you and your team, and you feel empowered to want to make a change, develop and improve your business. I wanted to share that journey with the rest of my management team.
Tim is an absolute joy to work with. He does things at the right pace for the audience. He asks a lot of questions about what you want to achieve and where you want your business to go, and adapts the training to your requirements.
It’s really given us as a team a chance to grow, to be stronger and to be in a better mindset as to how to support our staff. It’s a massive staff team here and Tim’s been really helpful in putting procedures together for us to ensure we are leading and managing effectively.
Tim has been our superstar and our guiding light in our transition and we can’t wait to continue working with you. “
