The owner of Tivoli Auto Services, Paul White, had recently come out of a business partnership and found himself the sole director of the company.
He had ambitions to grow the business and wanted to reframe its offer and services to align with his vision, but for any solo business directors out there, you know that it can be a lonely place to be especially when you’ve plans in mind!
Paul sought a local business coach who he could build a relationship with, trust and feel confident in the advice and education they provided, and have someone as a sounding board to his ideas. That is where he found a local business coach in UK Growth Coach!
He decided to take advantage of our complimentary 90-minute business review, which he found so helpful and built a rapport with the coach, that he signed us up as his local business coach.
As time has moved on, the focus has shifted to coaching for growth and achieving greater autonomy for the owner so that the operational side of the business can function without him. Thereby allowing Paul to focus on the business rather than in it, and give him some freedom too.
As we’ve been working with Paul for a number of years now, the scope of the coaching has covered the majority of aspects of the 10-point Coaching Star. These are some of the biggest projects though:

The business has performed well throughout the time we’ve been working together with an increased turnover and profitability. There are fewer peaks and troughs in performance, and that consistency provides certainty and stability for future planning and investment.
Jobs have been created because of the growth in the business, most recently a Workshop Manager and a Reception Manager. These two positions are particularly crucial, not just from the perspective of supporting the local economy but they’ve also enabled greater autonomy for the owner so he can step further away from the day-to-day operation of the business.
This gradual progression of more autonomy for the owner and having a business less reliant on him, increases the value of his business, gives him personal freedom for his work-life balance, as well as a good income.
